Do you know how great this country is, and would you like to discover its greatness?

You may not know too much about Romania, or maybe you have just started searching some information on how life is in Romania as a foreigner. In this article we will just uncover the plain truth on why you should move to Romania, and what are the aspects that will make your living here a beautiful journey in your life. We will just give you the plain reasons, you just pack your things. Get ready to be surprised.

1. Low cost of living a healthy and good life

One of the aspects you will be benefiting a lot of if you move to Romania is the fair cost of living a comfortable life. The cost of living in Romania is among the lowest of all the European Union’s countries. And you can live a fairly healthy and comfortable life with a spending budget of 600 – 800 EUR per month.

Of course, each one may have different levels of comfort expectations, however, we believe an average of 700 – 900 EUR per month would be sufficient to fully satisfy your basic life needs, which include: healthy food, basic hygiene, clothes, transportation, and even some evenings out for dinner or drinks.

It is incredible to find out how much you can do with a fair budget here, and how you can live a happy life spending less money on rent, and more for the things that you always wanted. In one of the country’s main cities you will always be able to find a nice place to rent for a decent price.

Also, if you are speaking English fluently, it would be easier for you to find a job. You can work at one of the multinational companies, you can teach English or – much easier – you can work as a freelancer.

2. The internet is heaven on Earth

Did you hear about the Internet speed in Romania? It is like all the good network is located in here. Romania is one of the top countries that has the fastest internet in the world.

Yes, you’ve heard that right! Probably you just dreamed about faster and cheaper Internet, but here you can have it. The monthly subscription fee for a good internet connection is around 6 to 10 euros per month. With that much cost, you can comfortably watch movies on Netflix without interruptions. So prepare your popcorn, as your movie marathon is about to begin.

3. Low university fees

If you always wanted to study medicine, you have to know that Romania is the perfect place for that. The University fees are very low, and if you have the right grades, you can study for free, as you will be financially supported by the university. Also, many Universities have English programs so the language should not be a problem.

The fees are generally between 400 and 900 euros per year, which makes an average of 55 euros per month. Now that’s really cheap schooling, isn’t it? And the quality of the education is really pretty good in Romania. Just look at all the news on the internet announcing Romanian kids winning golden medals at international Olympiads. That is some pretty good result: 6oth International Mathematical Olympiad Results.

4. The Romanian food is great

Being a foodie is difficult nowadays. In Romania, you have nothing to worry about – these people love to eat. The traditional food will be like love at first sight – in this case, at the first bite. Sarmale, cozonac, ciorbă, tochitură, salată de vinete, papanași (a traditional dessert) – are just a few specialties, but you will be delighted with much more of it.

Some of the dishes may be too heavy for your taste, especially those containing much minced meat or pork. But there are also vegetable based tasty dishes that you can enjoy.

5. Romania has a wonderful scenery

If you move to Romania, you will be happy to find out that you can go on some epic trips here. You have mountains, the Black Sea and – if it is not enough – the Transfăgărășan road was nominated ”the best road in the world” by Top Gear. You have to go there at least once. The road, the view – everything is breathtaking.

Also, Romania is keeping its history alive – you can visit some wonderful castles and find out about their interesting story. And – and this is like a bonus – some great music festivals are hosting in this country. Undoubtedly you heard about Untold, Neversea and Electric Castle. So many great artists and beautiful views at a very good price – you should be considering moving here right now!
