Romanian Immigration Office recently announced that the quota limit for work permits set for seconded workers for year 2018 has been reached on 9 July 2018. The quota limit for year 2018 for this type of work permits (for seconded workers) applicable to foreigners coming from non-EU countries was set by the government to 1,200 work permits, with 500 more than in 2017.
Unless the government increases the number of work permits that can be approved for this category, the Immigration Office cannot accept additional applications for work permits to be issued to seconded employees.
The Romanian Immigration Office announced that they have done the necessary actions to inform the Ministry of Labor on the issue, as the competent authority for approving additional work permits for 2018.
